How To Earn AMS points
Accredited reps are enrolled into the AMS Designation Maintenance pathway (renewal cycle).
There are two ways to get AMS points for renewal:
1. Take courses/webinars in the AMS portal
AMS accredited reps can get AMS points by completing any of the courses or webinars in the learning catalog with 1 AMS point. Courses or webinars taken previously in the old AMS portal can be retaken in the new portal for points.
- Navigate to Catalog > Select Enroll next to the course or webinar you want to complete
- Enrolled courses or webinars will show under your My Training > Current 
- Select Launch to start course or webinar
- Complete course test or webinar quiz to receive 1 AMS point
2. Submit external events for credit
Accredited reps can also submit external events for credit.
- Navigate to My Training > at the top, select Actions > Add External Training

- Select the External Training Approval Form Template in the drop-down, fill in all the requested information, and attach your proof of attendance/agendas or any other relevant information
- Select Create
- HIDA will approve and award AMS points accordingly and approved external events will show under My Training > Completed (2 hours of external training = 1 AMS point)
Your Certification progress tracker on the main page will update with your progress.
