On Tuesday, July 14, HIDA President & CEO Matthew Rowan presented medical industry #PPE demand projections during a live Virtual Information Session, Current And Future Demand For Domestic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hosted by Department of Defense’s COVID-19 Joint Acquisition Task Force (JATF) and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), July 14-15. The meeting’s goals were to help current and potential PPE suppliers understand the PPE requirements across multiple sectors of the economy including the U.S. government and trade associations representing the medical and non-medical sectors, as well as to discuss how the medical device industry and government agencies can partner in the planning for and consumption of domestically-produced PPE.
DOD will be making all presenter slides as well as a recording of the sessions publicly available by the end of the month.
