HIDA offers an Emerging Leaders scholarship for undergraduate students each year. The scholarship provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in informative general sessions, networking events, and breakout tracks during HIDA’s MedSupplyChain Conference. Students will learn about demand management, logistics, technology, and resilience and discuss how these areas impact healthcare distribution.

The Event

HIDA’s 2025 MedSupplyChain Conference takes place February 5–7 in Cape Coral, Florida. The conference brings healthcare industry leaders together to build supply chain visibility and enhance relationships among trading partners and the public and private sectors.

The Conference Scholarship

Emerging Leaders selected for this scholarship will receive complimentary conference registration, inclusion in all programming and networking opportunities, and reimbursement for travel and lodging costs. Students selected for the program will travel to the event on February 5, attend all conference functions, and travel back to their schools the afternoon or evening of February 7.

Eligibility

The Emerging Leaders scholarship is open to any undergraduate (sophomore or above) or graduate school student pursuing a degree in business, logistics, or supply chain management with an interest in working in the field of medical product distribution.

How To Apply

Potential candidates are encouraged to send a resume and a cover letter to Director of Education Stephanie S. Reed at reed@hida.org. HIDA encourages direct submissions from students as well as referrals from professors and HIDA member organizations. Applicants who pass an initial screening will be asked to submit a 300-word essay on a topic related to the medical supply chain. The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 6, 2024.
