Alexandria, VA, April 27, 2021 - The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) announced a 21% increase in corporate members in 2021. The growth is broad based, with new members from companies of all sizes that serve a range of provider markets from hospitals and nursing homes to physician offices and home care settings. HIDA is also exceeding national benchmarks for trade association member renewal rates.
“It’s gratifying to see companies of all types and sizes joining HIDA,” said HIDA President & CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “Our information and insights have reinforced HIDA’s position as a trusted resource for policymakers in Washington, DC. It is clear that medical products distributors are an integral part of the solution for pandemic preparedness and response."
The COVID-19 pandemic lifted the medical products supply chain into the national spotlight. HIDA responded by convening new member councils focusing on fast-moving issues, and developing a suite of educational materials highlighting distributors’ role as trusted partners in the healthcare supply chain.
