Pandemic Supply Chain Summit To Build Collaboration For U.S. Preparedness
Alexandria, VA, July 19, 2021 - The Health Industry Distributors Association will launch the Pandemic Supply Chain Summit in 2022 to foster the exchange and planning necessary to better prepare for future public health emergencies.
The first Summit is scheduled for June in Washington, D.C. The Summit will convene leaders from legislative and executive branches of government, distribution, manufacturing, providers, GPOs, and other stakeholders.
“This annual Summit is designed to deepen the public-private partnership that has been essential to the COVID response,” said HIDA President & CEO Matthew J. Rowan. “It’s critical that we keep this topic elevated over time to build on that collaboration.”
The agenda will focus on addressing challenges such as:
- Supply Chain: Demand and Critical Products Availability
- Risk: Assessment and Management
- Diversified Sourcing: U.S., Near-sourced, Global-sourced
- Redundancies: Stockpiling
- National Logistics Infrastructure: Transportation, Distribution
